Frequently Asked Questions

How do we access the subscripton lessons?

Just log to your account on the Artisan & Makers website at any time, from any device. Most of our lessons are “screen free” and use printable handouts to teach art knowledge and hands-on skills. Expertly designed handouts include step-by-step visual instructions, so a group of kids can each work at their own pace. Lesson variations are provided to help different ages and skill levels find the perfect challenge. Plus, printable mini books teach art history via whimsical rhyming text alongside famous artworks.

Do I need to buy a lot of art supplies for the lessons or in-person classes?

We provide all the supplies for in-person classes. For the subscripton, a materials list with hyperlinks to Amazon is included in our "Less Mess" list. We've worked hard to find the best supplies while also making sure we don't overwhelm you with too many requirements. You can preview the list through the free sample bundle included in the monthly newsletter.

What grade-level is this geared toward?

Currently the subscription is geared for grades K-6. Many teens and adults enjoy the projects as well, and we are adding content for older kids and teens as we grow.

What if I have a question or concern about the materials or lessons?

You can reach us via email and we’ll be happy to help! Email rebecca@artfulkidsclub.com

Can I use this with homeschool or at school?

Absolutely! We encourage you to try the Artisans Monthly lessons in a classroom setting as well as at home.

Do you accept charter school funds for in-person classes?

Absolutely! However, if we aren't currently on a specific charter school roster, then the charter school will need a referral from the parent. Once accepted, the charter school will disperse funds to Artisans + Makers.

About Us

Hi I’m Rebecca!  As a second generation artist and veteran teacher, I'm passionate about the role artists can play in shaping society toward what is Good, True and Beautiful!  This passion has led me to study Renaissance Literature, live in Italy and West Africa, and earn a Masters (Arts-in-Education) from Harvard. I've worked with schools, districts, private academies and community centers, and I've seen how great arts education begins at home.
